The Department of Physics was established in the year 1960. The courses at the undergraduate level, i.e. B.Sc. (Three Years) program, have been held under the aegis of department. The Electronics subject had been introduced in the year 1988. It is also a part and parcel of the department of Physics. Under the science association banner, the department organizes seminars, popular lectures, making models etc. The teachers are engaged in various research projects and invited/taking part in the science education programs as resource persons at other institutions.
