The Rotaract Club of Hislop College was chartered in the year 2006. It is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Nagpur, the oldest Rotary club in Central India. Rotaract Club of Hislop College comes under the Rotary International District 3030.
The club has a wonderful image in the world of Rotary and Rotaract in this RI District 3030. Rotaract Club of Hislop College has been was awarded thrice with “The Best Club” Award for its Philanthropic and Environmental projects undertaken by the young Rotaractors. The Rotaractors are the masterminds behind the endeavours taken by the club. Coming from different social, religious, economic and cultural backgrounds these young bloods come together with one mission that is striving for the well-being of the underprivileged section of the society. They also strive to bring about environmental awareness through various events. The activities are funded by sponsorships as well as revenue generated through various fund raising projects organized by the Rotaractors.
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. Keeping this in mind Rotaract Club of Hilop College welcomes individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who are interested in community service, international service or professional development.
